Daisy Mae and Holly Berry
"I just had to let someone know about the uncanny resemblance of our Boston's to the recent blog re: Hammie and Holly. My husband and I have 2 Boston's, Daisy Mae (3 1/2) ,Holly Berry (2 yr 3mo.) Our Daisy is marked just like Hammie (very unusual for a BT) and our Holly is marked more like their Holly. I went to the you tube video site and watched the video.(Can you say Twilight Zone ?) Even the mannerisms of our Daisy and Hammie are the same . I showed it to my husband and he was equally as shocked . Here are a couple of pictures of our girls. " |

Hammie & Holly's dad here...
Boy, that *is* a bit spooky, isn't it? Esp. the resemblance between Hammie & Daisy.
What we found when we first met/picked Holly at the breeder's (http://nicholshappydogkennel.com/) was that there is a bloodline in the area where we got Hammie that, every so often, spits out a "spotted" BT just like Hammie. Holly's breeder had one that looked like Hammie's twin, and that they had gotten from Hammie's breeder (who is unfortunately not breeding BT's any more, but is located just a few miles north of Holly's breeder).
Anyway, thanks for the pics & for the shout-out to H&H!
Was Hammie's breeder in Syracuse? I am wondering if Hammie and Daisy Mae are related????
Yes, Hammie's breeder *was* in Syracuse!
Here's a link to 3 photos of the "spotted" BT at Holly's breeder's that looked like Hammie's twin: http://www.flickr.com/photos/g_piper/sets/72157603693581580/show/
Thats really cool.
Daisy Mae will be 4 on June 11. I think that Hammie and Daisy just have to at least be cousins? I truly is a small world isn't it?
That is so cool. As a last piece of confirmation, I looked up the breeder's name that we got Hammie from, and it was Deb Beers in Syracuse.
Yep they're related!
Since all Bostons share the same characteristics, they seem to be related. They are fun to be with, curious, smart, silly, people loving and playful. My Boston is dropping a toy on my lap as I type this. We are all so lucky to have Bostons.
